ABOUT EVENT

Background
The Indonesian Public Health Association (IAKMI) is a professional organization engaged in the field of public health, non-profit, independent, multidisciplinary, based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. IAKMI was established on February 22, 1971. It has a headquarter in DKI Jakarta and 34 regional subsidiaries in all provinces of Indonesia. IAKMI's vision is to become a world-class professional organization in achieving the nation's highest level of health (global standard of professionalism). IAKMI has always been a partner of the government in strengthening the nation's health, and has always worked together with the Association of Indonesian Public Health Higher Education Institutions (AIPTKMI). IAKMI is an active member of the World Federation of Public Health Association (WFPHA).
 
To examine scientific aspects and the current situation of national public health problems, IAKMI will hold the 7th Annual Public Health Scientific Conference. This forum is held annually and provides scientific discussion arena for everyone, especially academics, executives, legislatures, the private sector, and all members of IAKMI,  to present research findings, best practices, and evidence.
 
The 7th Annual Public Health Scientific Conference will be held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with it, there will also be held Digital Health Week, a series of global campaign activities on the role of digital technology that helps the government together with professionals, academia, the private sector, civil society, professional organizations, and communities to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in 2030.
 
Objectives
General Objective:
To examine scientific aspects and the current situation of national public health problems.
 
Specific Objectives:
  1. To increase the knowledge and insight of practitioners, researchers, and observers of health issues on important, actual and strategic issues in the field of public health.
  2. Disseminate the research findings and innovative thoughts from researchers and public health experts as material for policy recommendations and improvement of public health development programs.
  3. Strengthening alliances between professional associations, universities, government, legislative, private sectors, and international partners in empowering people to live healthy lives.
  4. Identify local wisdom in implementing policies to improve the quality of public health and follows the latest technological developments.
  5. Increase the commitment of the government, professionals, academics, private sector, professional organizations, communities to the use of digital technology to achieve universal health coverage.
